Pastor Newman Obas
Pastor Obas is a visionary leader, devout Christian, and the esteemed founder of Mercy Seat of God Organization dedicated to the divine mission of bringing heaven’s experience into the earthly realm. With a profound sense of calling and unwavering faith in the Almighty God, Pastor Obas has spent his life devoted to spreading the message of faith, worship, and covenant fulfillment.
In response to the call from the Almighty God, Pastor Obas founded the organization with the primary mission of saturating atmospheres with praise, wholesome worship, and prayer. He believed fervently in the power of worship to bridge the gap between heaven and earth and saw the organization as a vessel for bringing people closer to their Creator.

Our partners
The Mercy Seat was first mentioned in the Bible in the book of Exodus 25:17-22 where it was clearly described and stated as the focal point from which the word, messages and instructions of God diverge to His people. A place of God’s presence, It was also a point of concentration of attention and energy where God speaks from to His people.
Our mission is to bring back the originality of the Bible days into our present day generation with the aim to build a people with divine mindset of wholesome worship to Almighty God.
To establish a treasurable medium of encounter with Almighty God who changes lives and reconciles our dying world to Himself through intense worship by our lord Jesus Christ.
Our Vision, as inspired by 1 Thessalonians 2:12, is to cultivate a generation of individuals who are wholly dedicated to the kingdom of God. We envision a community of believers committed to:
- Offering sacrifices of praise and worship continually
- Rendering intense and ceaseless worship
- Making a lifetime prayer Alter burning with holy fire in our hearts
- Taking charge of our spaces, environments, atmosphere and territories unto our lord Jesus Christ.
- Bringing down Heaven’s experience down on earth through an unremitting Praying, prophetic music and movies, teachings, books and humanitarian services.
